Hilma – tech for impact
Overview
Hilma - tech for impact is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2018 by Israeli’s hi-tech executives.
Its mission is to:
- Establish Israel as a world leader in social impact entrepreneurship
-Raise, train, inspire and empower a new generation of social-tech entrepreneurs
-Use technology to help disadvantaged groups
Our model
Hilma strives to be a leading development center for the public sector and NGO’s, and develops innovative technological solutions for disadvantaged populations, which tackle social issues and incorporate a measurable business model paired with economic feasibility.
Hilma develops social-tech solutions by harnessing talented young populations (high-school graduates) in a volunteer-based National Service program. These high-profile youngsters participate in a two-year technological leadership program in which they acquire software-programming skills, and develop ingenious software-based applications and solutions in the fields of welfare, education, digital health and environment for the public sector and for NGO’s in Israel and worldwide.
Our programs
Carmel 6000,for young Orthodox women
Mifneh 2525, for youngsters who are exempt from the army
Tavor 575, a program for combat veterans.
In 2021, Hilma established "Hilma 1-100", to serve as a scale-up and development center for the technological solutions and applications developed at Hilma. The scale-up center employs Hilma graduates.
In July 2021 Hilma founded its first for-profit company - Hospikol Ltd.
